Review: Wolf Winter

Debut fiction. An interesting glimpse into life in the far north during the mid 18th Century. A mix of murder mystery, shamanism, survival, and the strength of women make this a compelling read. I always find it interesting that when an author focuses on simple survival from the elements that it is difficult to tell exactly when a story is taking place. It is only when the author turns the tale to the priest who lives in the small settlement that aspects of history and place creep in.

Worth reading.
