Lafayette Reads!…The Water Knife

Lafayette READS! might be just be the reading group you’ve been looking for! Our final selection this year is The Water Knife by Paolo Bacigalupi, a thriller set in the near future revolving around the battle for resources in the Southwest.

Pick up an honor copy from the display in the Lobby, or reserve a copy in the catalog, and then join us for the discussion group on Monday, December 11 at 6 pm.

NPR states that “Bacigalupi paints his characters in shifting shades of moral gray” … and writes to “how deregulation, privatization and the concentration of power in the hands of the few might take strange new shapes in the coming decades.” Full NPR review
