Contest: National Novel Writing Month

Kids & Teens – write a novel or short story this month! We will have drop-in sessions to help you with your writing, and you can win prizes plus get published on the Library blog!

What is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)?

NaNoWriMo is all about encouraging and helping people to write their novels during the month of November.  Visit NaNoWriMo.org to make an account, find meetups in your area, and get help on your novel.

Every Thursday during the month of November we will provide writing help for grades K-12 in the Activity Space upstairs. Stop by between 4 & 6pm!

Did we mention you can get published on the Library’s blog?

Grades K-12 can submit short stories and/or parts of their novel to [email protected] to be published on the Library’s blog.

Did we mention we have prizes to give out?

Besides getting published on the blog, you also have a chance to win some AWESOME book-related prizes.  There will be four winners chosen at random from each of the following grade groups: K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12.

Now get writing! 🙂
