JANUARY

Forever My Girl (January 19; PG) – starring Alex Rohe and Jessica Roth, adapted from the novel by Heidi McLaughlin (Romance).

12 Strong (January 19; R) – starring Chris Hemsworth and Michael Shannon as Special Forces soldiers who defeated the Taliban on horseback; adapted from the nonfiction book Horse soldiers: the extraordinary story of a band of U.S. soldiers who rode to victory in Afghanistan  (also available as 12 Strong: The Declassified True Story of the Horse Soldiers) by Doug Stanton (Nonfiction).

Maze Runner: The Death Cure (January 25; PG-13) – starring Rosa Salazar and Thomas Brodie-Sangster; final installment of the films adapted from the young adult Maze Runner series by James Dashner (Teen Action/Sci-Fi).

Ophelia (January 22) – starring Daisy Ridley and Naomi Watts, is a reimagining of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, told from the perspective of his sister, and based on the young adult novel Ophelia by Lisa Klein (Historical Romance/Drama).

FEBRUARY

Peter Rabbit (February 9; PG)– animated feature loosely adapted from the classic tale by Beatrix Potter (Children).

Fifty Shades Freed (February 9; R) – starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan. Final installment of the film adaptations of the series Fifty Shades by E. L. James (Romance/Thriller).

Every Day (February 23; PG-13)– starring Angourie Rice and adapted from the young adult novel by David Levithan (Romance/Fantasy).

The War with Grandpa (February 23) – starring Robert DeNiro; adapted from the children’s novel by Robert Kimmel Smith (Comedy/Family).

Annihilation (February 23), starring Jennifer Jason Leigh and Natalie Portman, adapted from Annihilation: Book 1 Southern Reach Trilogy by Jeff Vandermeer (Adventure/Suspense).

MARCH/APRIL

Red Sparrow (March 2) – starring Jennifer Lawrence, adapted from the Red Sparrow series by Jason Matthews (Thriller/Espionage).

The Leisure Seeker (January 19; R) – starring Helen Mirren and Donald Sutherland; adapted from the book by Michael Zadoorian (Drama/Comedy).

A Wrinkle in Time (March 9; PG) – featuring Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine, Oprah Winfrey, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and many more stars, adapted from the beloved children’s Time Quintet series by Madeline L’Engle (Fantasy/Sci-Fi).

Love, Simon (March 16; PG-13) – adapted from the young adult novel Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertall (Drama/LGBTQ)

Ready Player One (March 30) – adapted for the screen by Ernest Cline, the author of the genre-busting science fiction novel Ready Player One, and directed by Stephen Spielberg (Sci-Fi/Action)

You Were Never Really Here (April 6) – starring Joaquin Phoenix and Ekaterina Samsonov; adapted from the crime novel by Jonathan Ames (available in March 2018).
