Each month our library staff reads lots of books – or listens to them – or watches films. And each month they gladly share their favorites with us. You’ll find gems here; some we have written about before, but then someone else discovers them and so we offer them again.
New or older, paper or audio, we happily share this month’s favorites with you. Thanks to this month’s reviewers: Cailin, Shirley, Angelique, Sherlene, and Bernice.

This movie from Japan has a leisurely pace and beautiful photography. It begins after the divorced father of three sisters dies and they meet his teenage daughter when they go to the funeral. The sisters bring her home to live with them and there is awkwardness from the fact that her mother broke up their parent’s marriage. The story has a sweetness to it as the sisters develop a relationship between each of them. – Sherlene
Britt-Marie Was Here by Fredrik Backman
I would highly recommend this be listened to, rather than read. The reader of the audio book just makes it that much more enjoyable with her British accents for all the characters! Totally sweet book!! – Shirley
