As a teen who needs to find volunteer hours I have helped out at a few places, but none are quite like the Lafayette Library. While I love reading and being able to check out books from the Library, my favorite thing is definitely the Reading Buddies Program! I loved being able to interact with the younger kids and help them learn to love reading. It was a great chance for interaction and it built some really great relationships between the young elementary aged kids and the teen volunteers. While I miss the books, I miss not being able to interact with the kids even more during these times!
