Día de los Muertos | Day of the Dead – Share your photos

We here at the Lafayette Public Library are collecting photos for Day of the Dead/Día de los Muertos. As part of the celebration, an altar will be set up to honor and remember friends and family who have passed away. Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a celebration of life and death. While the holiday originated in Mexico, it is celebrated all over Latin America with colorful calaveras (skulls) and calacas (skeletons). Learn more

We invite you to submit photos using the form below or drop off a copy of a picture in memory of a loved one for our Day of the Dead observance (no original pictures). Photos can be dropped off at our Curbside Hold Pickup table. Pictures will be shared in our front window 10/30-11/6 and on our social media platforms.
