Today, Saturday, Feb. 6, come out support local businesses in the 80026 area code…it is LafaYeti Day! Another thing to celebrate? Even more years of local Lafayette news have been digitized and added to the Colorado Historical Newspapers Collection.
A quick check of the Lafayette Leader for 1955 showed us two current businesses that were up and running and/or almost on the scene in February of that year. Lafayette Florist (also known in the past as Lafayette Greenhouse) was gearing up for Valentine’s Day in this February 4 ad, and Ansbach’s Jewelry opened it’s doors in May.
