“The Tale of Despereaux” by Kate DiCamillo
Rating: 5/5 stars
This tale is about an abnormal mouse, Despereaux, whose ears are much larger than normal. It takes place in a small mouse village inside a castle. This little mouse ventures off into lands that he is not supposed to venture and falls in love with a princess. Eventually, the village finds out and he is soon banned. He is sent to the dungeon, which no mouse has ever made back out from, and makes it out alive. The princess is in trouble and Despereaux saves her. And to end it all off Despereaux and the princess fall in love…kind of.
My kindergarten teacher read it to me and I decided to read it again, it was amazing! I would absolutely recommend it.

“Exile” by Shannon Messenger
Rating: 3/5 stars
I love the Keeper books with all of my heart and have read the series many times, though out of the series, this book would be one of my least favorites. Personally, I do not think it has the climax as the other books, just doesn’t have the feel of the rest, and it does not keep me as tied in and excited. It does not quite have me jumping out of my seat, rooting for friendships to last and the good guys to win the battle. It is a lovely book to read, though compared to the others it does not compare as well.

“Lord of the Rings” by J.R.R. Tolkien

This series is a popular classic which I love. I read it a couple of weeks ago for about the 8th time. The story is about a young hobbit named Frodo Baggins who happens to find a ring and becomes the ring bearer. His unique task as ring bearer? Destroy the wicked ring in the fires of Mount Doom where it was forged!
“Eragon” by Christopher Paolini
Rating: 5/5 stars
This book was amazing! I got it for my birthday, and two days after I had finished it. Eragon follows the same plot as Lord of the Rings. It is about a poor farmer boy who one day stumbles upon an extraordinary object that sends him into an incredible adventure. I would recommend this book to anyone who is a big fan of Lord of the Rings and who loves dragons (Spoiler Alert: A LOT of dragons are involved).

“Klara and the Sun” by Kazuo Ishiguro
Rating: 5/5 stars
Klara and the Sun is about an Artificial Friend named Klara who is very observant. After talking to her through the shop window, Klara becomes friends with Josie. Eventually Josie buys Klara and takes her home. When Josie gets sick Klara thinks that there’s a way to heal her that none of the adults have thought of yet.

“Gregor the Overlander” by Suzanne Collins
Rating: 5/5 stars
Right now I am reading the series Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins. I would rate this series a 5/5 stars. It is about a boy and his baby sister who fall into a world with purple eyed people and huge animals who are always at war. The main character Gregor has to fulfill prophecies that will save the underground world and himself. If you like science fiction, action, romance, and suspense then you will love this book.
“Uglies” by Scott Westerfeld

I just finished reading the series called “Uglies.” I would rate this series 5 out of 5 stars. I could not put it down. If you love romance, suspense, science fiction, and being who you are you will love this book. I will not say any more because it would spoil it for you. I promise you will love it though.
