I love libraries and I really love Lafayette Public Library. I am so curious about so many things in the world and the library is a portal to learning. One can read a book about virtually any subject, listen to music, watch shows and enjoy culture. The experience of learning includes non-fiction topics that help me grow in knowledge of the world and in enjoying fiction which transports me to a different place and reminds me of people’s humanity.
And besides any self-guided experiences, Lafayette Library holds events that engage the community and create a space, both literal and social, for all to interact. The library is accessible to all walks of life, is a civic good, and benefits the community as a whole as well as individuals.
